Feed management: the ability to look at grass and make adjustments based on residuals, weather and grass growth.  Shed management: ability to maintain shed to a clean and tidy standard Tractor work- feeding out Heat Detection, record keeping and drafting during mating Identify, record and treat sick cows with accuracy NZ CITIZEN OR RESIDENT APPLICATIONS ONLY THANKYOU 600 cows through a 36 ashb shed with ACRS Close to a great primary school and buses to high schools. 20mins to Oamaru and 15mins to Waimate

6 months relative experience required • Days required Monday to Sunday (single rotation: 6 days on / 2 days off). • Hours per week Between 30 - 45 hours per week (from 04:30 am to 6:00 pm) • Salary band $58500 - $60840 per annum (including accommodation rent of $250 per week) • Number of positions for this job 2 Fortnightly payments The Employee’s Job Description is as follows: - assist with milking, assist with identifying sickness in dairy cattle while milking - assist with feeding out supplements to the cows with the tractor and trailer - assist with grazing and pasture management, by setting up electric temporary fences, taking them down, checking for power faults in electric fences - assist with farm equipment maintenance - drive tractors and farm equipment - assist with making silage - assist with general farm work including repairing fences, spraying weeds, replacing fences insulators, gates handles - assist with maintenance of the water supply system - assist with shifting...
