We require a Farm Manager for our farm 5km from Morrinsville. The farm is 115ha effective, flat to rolling with 10% steeper country. The farm is a system 3 with Maize grown on farm, and in shed meal feeders.  The shed is a 36 bale rotary with cup removers, centrally located, one person can milk.  We are looking for an experienced Farm Manager with excellent pasture management skills, animal health and self/time management skills as the owner lives off farm. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We rear ~70 replacement calves and they stay on farm until 1st May. This is a great opportunity to work with the farm owners and set yourself up for a great career in dairying.
