We are looking for  Herd Managers to join our team, with the opportunity to step into a 2IC role and take on increasing managerial responsibility. We milk 850 cows through a 54-bail rotary with ACRs. This is a hands-on role, but we are looking for more than someone who can simply complete the day-to-day farm tasks. We are seeking an experienced farm worker (2+ years) for an Assistant Manager position on an 850 and 600-cow farms in the Kapuka area, milking through a 54 Rotary Bale and 40 AS Herringbone shed. You'll have a range of responsibilities including the day-to-day management support including: Milking Shed Management Animal Husbandry and Production Animal Health Monitoring, Management and Treatment Pasture and fodder Management Maintenance of Shed, Equipment and Machinery Know and meet regulatory rules & requirements Breeding, Calving and Calf rearing Management Cattle transportation Contractor Organisation and Management Staff Management and other general farm duties.
