We are a family run farm located within easy access of the town of Kaikoura. Situated between the mountains and the sea, our farm is well located to take advantage of the hunting and fishing opportunities that Kaikoura offers. Schools, supermarket and services are all close by. An enthusiastic person is required for a general farm hand position on our 800+ cow family farm for the 2026 season. Cows are milked through a 60 bale rotary with Protrack and ACRs.  Milking and bringing cows to the cowshed are core roles for the job. Keeping the Cowshed clean , weed control and shifting electric fences are also regular activities for the the position. During the summer half the farm is under K line irrigation and the staff member will be required to help in shifting the K lines. In Autumn and Winter the cows are fed quite a lot of supplement via tractor so good tractor skills would be helpful but not essential. We winter our cows on a runoff feeding Kale, Grass and Baleage. MC Milk Cows Ltd are looking for 2 new members to join the Moo Crew Team on Brentwood Farm in Kaikoura. We are looking for 2 farm assistants or full time couple to fill this role and require a minimum of 1 year New Zealand dairy farming experience.  Must be eligible to work in NZ or already have a working visa. We can not help you get a visa.
