Dairy farm assistant

We are looking for a positive and energetic team member to work on our dairy farm 8 km from the Invercargill Boundary.  This is a drive in position as we do not provide accommodation. You must have a full drivers licence and a reliable vehicle to apply for this position.   This position has the potential to progress as we are looking to expand our farming operation.  All facets of farming are included in this position. Assisting with Milking, stock management, feeding stock, calf rearing and general farm duties.  Tractor driving is an advantage but not necessary.  Full training will be given.  Ongoing study is encouraged and time allowed for this Applicants must have a work visa or residency.  You must have a very high standard of English and comprehension to apply.  You must only apply if you are in New Zealand.  Weekend work is required.  Roster will be negotiable and regular time off is given. Assistant farm manager

We are looking for Assistant Farm Manager to help run the daily operation of a 680 high production cow farm near invercargill, Southland. 215 hectare effective. A 44 aside herringbone shed for milking with in-shed feeding, auto drafting, with cow collar to aid with health monitoring and mating.  To be considered for the role you must have herringbone cowshed experience and a strong background on all aspect of day to day running of the operation and a solid work ethics. You will be expected to lead a team of junior staff, monitor pasture and animal health with the basic farm and machinery maintenance and know how.  In return a competitive renumeration package with a 3 bedroom house with heat pump.
