Farm worker wanted - Immediate start. We are on the look out for someone to join our team on a 650 cow dairy farm in Hororata with an immidiate start, finishing at the end of September. Our roster is 9 days on, 3 days off, 7 days on, 2 days off. This means you will have either fr/sat/sun off or mon/tues. We're looking for someone with either : Dairy shed / milking experience or Calf rearing experience. The ideal candidate would be fit, efficient, reliable, able to work independently and happy working in a busy dairy farming environment. We are looking for an experienced Tractor Driver and all round farm hand for our dairy farm. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ON A DAIRY PLATFORM BUT DOES NOT INVOLVE ANY STOCK WORK. This is a full time, fixed term position and starting 1st September until 30th of April.  There may be opportunity to extend this. Main Duties: Cultivation with Discs, Drilling, Rock Picking, Rolling, Mowing, Spraying of Liquid Fert and Fencing. Other duties, Weed Spraying, Planting of Native Shelter Belts, Operating 20 Tonne Digger and general maintenance. This position answers directly to farm owner, however good communication with Contract Milker and where required, farm staff is essential.
