We are looking for an assistant farm manager to join our team to assist in the day-to-day running of our dairy farm. You will be required to;
- Assist in daily management activities, supervise milking from paddock to farm dairy as required
- Ensure the dairy plant is kept to a very high hygiene and operating standard
- Have a good understanding of animal health issues and a proactive approach to maintain a healthy herd including treating animal health problems
- Manage daily planning and staff management in the absence of the farm manager
- Implement routine maintenance schedules
- Experience using a variety of farm machinery
- Identify and fix faults as needed
- Meet environmental regulation through management of soil, nutrients, effluent, and water efficiently
The position is based just out of Edgecumbe, Bay of Plenty
The position is full-time on a 160ha 450 friesian cow farm 32 a-side hearing bone shed....
