650 cows 30 mins south of Christchurch rotary shed  pivot irrigation We are looking for a friendly, energetic person to join our team of 4 on our farm at Dunsandel. This role would suit a range of people with little to moderate experience. Any dairy experience is welcome, but the right person with have a good attitude, a willingness to learn new skills and be part of a team on a high performing dairy farm. We have relatively new farm machinery and motorbikes, tidy housing and maintain a very tidy farm. We have all modern conveniences in the cowshed, Protrack, in shed feeding, Cow manager tags.   Practical training will be provided on farm or through Primary ITO We are not Work Visa accredited. The Role We are looking for a strong Farm Assistant to join our team based in Dunsandel which is an excellent location close to Christchurch. You will be assisting with leading a team and milking 850 cows. This will be on a rotating roster of 6 days on and 2 days off.  You will be a team player, have strong pasture management knowledge and a genuine desire to achieve the farms goals. The main responsibilities of this role include… Animal Care – feeding, milking, health checks, seasonal tasks (calving, mating). Farm Operations – moving stock, fencing, irrigation, operating machinery. Maintenance – repairs to fences, water systems, vehicles, and sheds.
