We have an opportunity for a casual staff member to help us on our two farms over the calving and mating period (July-Dec). We have two dairy farms both running 300 cows located 10mins North of Morrinsville. The role will mainly involve milking and some small duties either side of milking like collecting cows or cleaning up. The hours will be roughly 20-30hrs per week and are to help during the days staff are rostered off, you will most likely be working directly with the farm owner. There is a need in our farm system for a capable experienced relief milker (as there is a need for several over the enterprise). We are looking for a person who does not need to travel too far . The farms are approximately 10kms from Te Awamutu and Cambridge. This is a drive in position. Preference will be given to someone who has a proven record of stockmanship and likes working with cows. We need an experienced ,capable person so this will give senior staff time off themselves.
