Current Peak milk 940-980 cows through 54 bale rotary, with halter collars, with slight increase likely and in-shed feeding & pro-track like gate Irrigation: dryland farm. Cows will be milked twice daily for majority of season– 4/4.30am & 2pm cups on.  Typical breaks post calving of 8.30-9.30am, 11.30-2pm. We are on the Hunt for a farm manager on our farm 10 minutes to whangarei We run 3 farms all close to whangarei 1500 cows in total so plenty of progression for the right person. There is a 3 bedroom house available. We use a consultant and provide plenty of support. Allflex collars auto drafting system 3 with maize and pke using a mixer wagon. 

Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We rear ~70 replacement calves and they stay on farm until 1st May. This is a great opportunity to work with the farm owners and set yourself up for a great career in dairying.
