We require an honest and motivated person to join our team milking 1200 cows through a 60-bail rotary shed 15 mins from Hamilton. You MUST have at least 12 months of continuous New Zealand Dairy Farming experience with relevant references. The ability to work as a team member, common sense and a good attitude are also a must.  Tractor driving or large herd experience is advantageous.  JOB DESCRIPTION: MILKING Manages milk harvesting to optimise quality, efficiency and yield, monitoring milk dockets to help troubleshoot issues. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We rear ~70 replacement calves and they stay on farm until 1st May. This is a great opportunity to work with the farm owners and set yourself up for a great career in dairying. We are looking for a progressive herd manager for the 2025/2026 season. The job is located at Te Kauwhata Waikato The dairy platform is 220ha, peak milking is 685 cows through a 48a side HB shed. As Herd Manager, you will be in charge of and responsible for the dairy sheds. You will be expected to: • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness to a high standard. • Implement, Monitor and Report on animal Health, Calving and Mating Plans. • Identify and treat animal Health problems. • Management of soil, nutrients, effluent and water to meet environmental regulations. • Support and training of staff and students to further their development. • Safely use and maintain farm vehicles and machinery.
