The successful applicant will have good stock knowledge and experience in dairy farming an advantage. We are looking for an experienced farm worker (2+ years) to work as a Herd Manager on a 700-cow farm in the Ashburton area. The farm is located  10-15 minutes to Ashburton, 30 minutes from Mt Hutt Ski Field and milking through a 54 Rotary Bale shed . You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking and monitoring milk quality stock handling and feeding (feed mgt), fencing, weed control, calving, calf rearing, shed maintenance & preparation, tractor operation for feeding out, baling, mowing and silage  monitoring, recording and maintaining animal health and other general farm duties.
