We are looking for a reliable and motivated Herd Manager to join our team on a 1,000-cow split-calving, System 5 dairy farm. This role is primarily focused around the dairy shed and calving operations, with an emphasis on animal health and welfare. Key Responsibilities Checking springer cows and identifying cows close to calving. Assisting with calving and providing appropriate care to cows and calves. Treating sick cows as directed and maintaining accurate treatment records. Supporting herd health and ensuring high animal welfare standards. Operating a telehandler safely for daily farm tasks. Driving and operating a mixer wagon to prepare and feed stock. Assisting with general farm duties as required. What We're Looking For Experience working with dairy cows, particularly during calving.
