Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We rear ~70 replacement calves and they stay on farm until 1st May. This is a great opportunity to work with the farm owners and set yourself up for a great career in dairying. We are seeking a capable and experienced Stock Hand to join our team. This is a diverse role managing a mix of R1 and R2 dairy replacements and beef cattle across our owned and leased land. The ideal candidate will be a proactive "all-rounder" who takes pride in animal welfare and infrastructure maintenance, with the flexibility to assist in our contracting business during peak periods if they would like that opportunity.
