Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We rear ~70 replacement calves and they stay on farm until 1st May. This is a great opportunity to work with the farm owners and set yourself up for a great career in dairying. We’re looking for an experienced Farm Manager with at least 3+ years of ideally New Zealand dairy experience to lead a 850 cow farm in the Morrinsville area. The farm is situated just 30 minutes to Paeroa and Morrinsville , milking through a 50 Herringbone shed.
