Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for a keen and motivated person to assist our team with the daily running of a 600 cow farm in Opio.  this position is flexible whether it be part time or full time, fixed term or permanent. There is a 3 bedroom home available for the right applicant and we are happy to tailor the job to suit.  farm is a tidy 200 ha unit with 40 aside herringbone with ACR, Protrack, walk over teat sprayer, and more. Milkings are quick and efficient always milking with one other staff member.  an excellent remuneration package is on offer to the suitable applicant. Due to a change in circumstances we are looking for 2x team members from the beginning of September to join our team full time. We milk 750 cows through a modern 54 bail rotary that is centrally located. Our roster is 6 days on 1 day off over calving with the remaining season 6 days on 2 days off. We have a position available for a Dairy Farm Assistant on a 1,500-cow farm in the Balfour area. The farm is located approximately 45 minutes from Gore and operates two Herringbone milking sheds. Previous experience is preferred but not required for this role. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking twice a day - shifting cows and feeding  - fencing, weed control - calving, calf rearing - shed cleaning and setup - identifying and alerting managers to sick cows - Setting fences - and other general farm duties.
