We are seeking a Dairy Farm Assistant with at least 6 months’ dairy farm experience to work on a 520-cow farm in the Tirau area, milking through a 50 Bail Rotary shed. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding  fencing, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows Setting fences and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 55. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid   at the agreed overtime rate.   The schedule may vary; Roster will normally be 6 days on, 1 day off then 6 days on 2 days off when work load allows.
