We are requiring a new person to join our team for the 26/27 season.  This position could be good for someone who is a farm assistant looking to move to a herd manager position. You will need to have a minimum of 2.5 years of Nz dairy experience, preferably on large herd farms.  Our farm is situated halfway between Methven and Ashburton.  We are fully irrigated and run a 54 bail shed. Due to promotion we are looking for a new staff member for the 2026/2027 season. We are located 5 mins from Rakaia,10 mins from Dunsandel and 15 min from Leeston. We milk 1450 cows through a new 54 bail rotary shed with auto cup removers. Farm has pivot irrigation and klines. The position would best suit someone with at least 3 months experience and has a understanding of the day to day workings of a dairy farm , but a good attitude and willingness to learn is priority. The position includes milking, setting fences, rideing moterbikes and irrigation to name a few.
