Farm Assistant or Herd Manager role - 930 cows Our business is expanding and we are looking for a Farm Assistant or Herd Manager to join our existing team in Clydevale/Rongahere. This role will be on our 930 cow unit, which will run alongside the neighboring 300 cow farm we have just purchased. The successful applicant will be a key member of our team and, while focused on the 930 cow farm, you will occasionally assist across both units. We’re on the lookout for a motivated Dairy Farm Assistant to join our friendly team on a 650 and 550-cow farm. Experience is preferred but not required for this role.  We milk through a 50-bail rotary shed and 40 AS Herringbone shed and offer a wide variety of daily tasks to keep you learning and engaged, including: Milking (twice a day) Shifting cows & feeding out Fencing & general maintenance Weed control Calving & calf rearing Shed cleaning & setup Spotting sick cows & alerting the manager and other general farm duties Weekly hours are a minimum of 35 and a maximum of 50. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid   at the agreed overtime rate. The schedule may vary; Roster will be 6 days on, 2 days off throughout the year. Salary is $68,000 - $77,000 per annum, depending on experience....
