Our farm milks approximately 840 cows through a herringbone shed and operates Roto-rainer and pivot irrigation systems. We are also seeking for a farm assistant who is willing to be promoted as a herd manager in the near future.   Key Result Areas and Tasks: The Dairy Assistant is required to work as part of the team to implement the agreed farm management plan, completing all tasks as required. Due to promotion we are looking for a new staff member for the 2026/2027 season. We are located 5 mins from Rakaia,10 mins from Dunsandel and 15 min from Leeston. We milk 1450 cows through a new 54 bail rotary shed with auto cup removers. Farm has pivot irrigation and klines. The position would best suit someone with at least 3 months experience and has a understanding of the day to day workings of a dairy farm , but a good attitude and willingness to learn is priority. The position includes milking, setting fences, rideing moterbikes and irrigation to name a few.
