We have the opportunity for an additional team member to assist on our 750 dairy farm at Tahuna, 20kms north of Morrinsville. The position is for a fixed term 4 month term July - October. If you are a couple it is possible that we will have work for you both.  Duties will primarily be calf rearing & associated tasks, however there will be some milking & general farm work required. No specific farming experience is necessary, although the ability show initiative & face the challenge of learning new skills with confidence is a must.  

Looking for a reliable calf rearer. in Tokoroa  230 calves to rear  must be hygienic, keep shed clean and tidy  take care of calves, make sure calves well fed  feeding calves twice a day  Apply with cv with 1-2 references. 

This is a Drive In position only! There is NO on-farm accommodation available. Only applicants with a suitable drivers license and have their own reliable transport will be considered We are seeking a reliable and friendly calf rearer with a minimum of 1 years experience calf rearing (although a great attitude and a willingness to learn will also be sufficient) from Mid July - Mid November, with additional weekend milking's available through out the season.  A Decent hourly rate plus fuel allowance will be provided to the successful candidate. A minimum of 25hrs/week guaranteed. Start and finish times can be negotiated with in reason for the right candidate e,g to fit around school run/child care/off farm commitments. Must have a good attitude, an eye for animal health, patience, good hygiene and be punctual. Must be physically fit to be able to lift calves up for feeding when required and lift 20kg calf meal bags.  Must be able to provide at least 1 solid work reference.

I am looking for a drive in calf rearer to rear approx 130-140 calves in Eureka, near Morrinsille and Hamilton. Must be experienced and have an eye for detail. There will be bobby calves to feed as well. Have a milk trailer setup with a pump and hose. There will be relief milking available later in the season if wanted also. We are looking for someone to take the lead as a calf rearer, with assistance from our other farm staff. We will be rearing approximately 150 replacement heifer calves plus a few beef calves across two neighbouring farms. Position to start 13th July, for about 10 weeks.  Ideally a 6 : 1 position with Sundays off. There is also a possibility of taking on some relief milkings through the rest of the season if desired.
