We are looking for a dedicated and reliable calf rearer to join our team for the 2026 season. This is a hands on role where you will play a part in giving our calves the best possible start. You will be responsible for ensuring excellent animal welfare, maintaining high hygiene standards and raising healthy, thriving calves. The farm is situated between Dunsandel and Hororata, milking 880 cows. We will be rearing around 225 replacement heifer calves, 60 beefies as well as bobby calves. This role will be from the end of July until the start of October. 🐄 Calf Rearer Wanted – Spring 2026  🐄 We're on the hunt for a motivated and reliable Calf Rearer to join our team from 23 July 2026 through to mid-October located just 3 minutes from Sheffield. About the Role; You'll be responsible for rearing approximately 130 replacement heifer calves from birth through to weaning. This is a lead calf rearing position with the support of other on farm staff on busy days. Our calf system is straightforward and well set up: - All calves receive their first feed via tube feeding - Calves are then transitioned onto an ad-lib feeding system once they are trained on feeders. - Straw, Meal and fresh water all available in their pens and are checked/refreshed/topped up daily.
