Short-Term Calf Rearer Role We are looking for a Calf Rearer to join our team from 20 July . We calve approximately 560 cows , and the role will run from late July through to September/October. Key details: Approximately 6 hours per day during the peak calving period. Hours will reduce to around 4 hours per day from late August/September. Ability to work 7 days per week is required. Main duties include feeding and caring for calves, maintaining calf sheds, and monitoring calf health. At times, assistance will be needed to collect calves from paddocks . Previous calf-rearing experience is preferred, but a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential.

A vacancy has arisen for a Casual Calf Rearer and Relief milker on our Dairy Farm.  We are looking for someone withsome experience who can slot into our well run team. Calf rearer.  Rearing approximately 120-130 Friesian calves. Required to teach calves to initially feed on in-shed calferteria's and then progress to a mobile calferteria towed by a side-by-side. The job will require feeding calves for approximately 2-3hrs in the morning and then another 2-3hrs in the afternoon for the first 4-6 weeks of the calves life.  Calves will progress to once a day feeding as they get older. The farm is located approximately 10minutes from Sanson, Bulls and Halcombe and 15-20 minutes from Feilding and Marton. Extra hours may be negotiated for general farm work if required.
