The opportunity – We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Farm Manager (2IC) for one of our 12 dairy units. The dairy unit is ha with 730 cows milked through a 43-bail herringbone.  This role reports directly to the Farm Manager and you will work closely with them to ensure the farm plans and targets are achieved. Assistant Farm manager: will be  Good with grass and allocation to cows, knows how to calculate feed requirements. Embraces technology we use Halter and auto drafting. Enjoys everything Dairy farming. Knows how to find mastitis, treat lame cows and is tidy and well organized.  Enjoys sharing knowledge, open to listening to your team mates. Maintains eclectic fences  and can repair and erect new fences. Good with tractors, feeding out using a wagon and bale feeders knows how to use a grease gun. Can fix water toughs find leaks put in new water lines.
