An exciting opportunity exists to join CNR Farming as a 2IC to work under our Farm Manager to be part of a team of 4 full timers. We are energetic owner/operators, passionate about the dairy industry and high performance. We plan to peak milk 830 cows next season. We have a 54bail rotary with ACR’s, in shed feeding and auto drafting. We have been using Halter collars for several years. We are fully irrigated with pivots and minimal sprinklers. Pasture management is something you need to be passionate about along with a exceptional animal health and husbandry. The role will involve assisting in all areas of Farm Management working closely with the Manager and covering his time off. We have an exciting opportunity at Willsden Farm for a highly motivated individual to join our team as the Assistant Manager (2IC). The 2IC assists with the day-to-day running of the farm with a focus on implementing farm policies and plans. Does this sound like you? You have at least 3 years’ experience in farming or a tertiary qualification in agriculture You have a sound knowledge of all aspects of large-scale dairy farming in New Zealand including people management, stock management, rotary dairy shed operation, machinery, irrigation, and pasture management.
