Solid Dairy experience including leadership and running systems  Excellent tractor skills.  Large herd experience ideal  Cows have collars , experience with Allflex also ideal. Thorough commitment to health and safety. Can do attitude.  Start date negotiable, would consider start of next season.

We require an Assistant Farm Manager to join our 800 cow family owned and operated dairy farm in Hororata Canterbury. Farm details -   800 cows, 50 bale herringbone, 4 full time staff, 3 calf rearers in spring and I work usually everyday from July 10th - September 20th, so you are well supported. In shed feeding, System 3-4, 535ms per cow, scc under 100 the whole season, Allflex collars, 2 pivots with K-line and fixed grid. Wintering is done on the dairy platform, 6,2 roster, comfortable 3 bedroom home, located 10 minutes from Darfield and Hororata, 25 minutes to Rolleston and 35 minutes to Christchurch International Airport.  Please only apply if you have the relevant experience listed on the ad and you are either a NZ citizen, Resident, or hold a valid work visa. We are seeking a experienced Assistant farm Manager/ Farm Manager to join our team. We are located at Morven,10 minutes from Waimate. The farm milks 1400 cows through a rotary shed, split calving spring 1000 cow and Autumn 400 cows.   Farm have winter barns and cows stays barn at winter. we run a 6 on 3 off roster except August we running 6 on 1 off roster. We got relief milker and calf rearer.   We are looking for someone that is: - Reliable - Strong observation skills - Good communication skills - Be a leader for the team.  The role will include making pasture management decisions, management of the cowshed, managing the other staff, delegating jobs , Operating and Maintain machinery etc.  This position comes with a single man unit.
