We have a job for an experienced farm worker (2+ years) for an Assistant Manager position on a farm in the Otautau area. This is for a 320-cow farm, milking through a 30 Aside Herringbone shed. You'll have a range of responsibilities including the day-to-day management support including: Milking Shed Management Animal Husbandry and Production Animal Health Monitoring, Management and Treatment Pasture and fodder Management Maintenance of Shed, Equipment and Machinery Know and meet regulatory rules & requirements Breeding, Calving and Calf rearing Management Cattle transportation Staff Management and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 55. We are looking for a 2IC/heard manager to join our team in Hedgehope, Southland.   We milk year round 1000 cows through a 54 bale rotary, on 800 ha self-contained dairy farm. The successful applicant will be someone who can show examples of leadership, has initiative, is motivated, shows a genuine interest in dairy farming and is wanting to progress their career. We are on the lookout for two staff members to join our small team based 20 minutes out of invercargill in Southland My partner and I contract milk two farms two minutes apart milking 420 spring calving friesian cows on each farm. We are looking for a 2ic and a farm assistant for the upcoming season starting June the 1st. Though we would be happy for someone to start earlier than this. Both farms have excellent infrastructure and machinery including a 40 aside herring-bone and 50 bail rotary sheds with acrs, in shed feeding and automated wash and drafting systems. Both farms also utilise wintering barns/feed pads and are maintained to a very high standard. We are very passionate about our stock and strive for the best results. We set high standards of animal health, dairy hygiene and general farm tidiness.
