🐄 Herd Manager – Otatara, Southland We’re seeking a capable and motivated  2IC  to join our progressive sharemilking operation just minutes from Invercargill. 🏡 A brand-new three-bedroom home with garaging is provided for the successful applicant. About the Farm: We milk Peak milk 560 cows through a 38-a-side herringbone shed with ACRs. The farm is right beside the Invercargill Airport and only 3 km from the CBD . We are on the lookout for two staff members to join our small team based 20 minutes out of invercargill in Southland My partner and I contract milk two farms two minutes apart milking 420 spring calving friesian cows on each farm. We are looking for a 2ic and a farm assistant for the upcoming season starting June the 1st. Though we would be happy for someone to start earlier than this. Both farms have excellent infrastructure and machinery including a 40 aside herring-bone and 50 bail rotary sheds with acrs, in shed feeding and automated wash and drafting systems. Both farms also utilise wintering barns/feed pads and are maintained to a very high standard. We are very passionate about our stock and strive for the best results. We set high standards of animal health, dairy hygiene and general farm tidiness. The 2IC role will be based full time on one of the farm while the farm assistant will work between both properties with transport provided. We will run a 6 on 1 off...
