We have a job for an experienced farm worker (2+ years) for an Assistant Manager position on a farm in the Otautau area. This is for a 320-cow farm, milking through a 30 Aside Herringbone shed. You'll have a range of responsibilities including the day-to-day management support including: Milking Shed Management Animal Husbandry and Production Animal Health Monitoring, Management and Treatment Pasture and fodder Management Maintenance of Shed, Equipment and Machinery Know and meet regulatory rules & requirements Breeding, Calving and Calf rearing Management Cattle transportation Staff Management and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 55. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid at your regular hourly rate .
