Looking to Hire Herd Manager on a permanent basis. Milking 950 cows through 50 bale rotary. Work responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, milk harvesting, basic pasture management, pest and weed control, animal health on a daily basis. Tractor work is essential. Feed management, feed calculating and feed allocation skills required, and are essential. Applicant must be able to drive large tractor and have knowledge of feeding out. you need to be able to ride a motorbike. Accommodation is for a single person, in a dwelling that is shared. You will need your own vehicle as the farm is 15minutes from the nearest supermarket. All cows wintered on farm with young stock nearby for animal health management.

We have a full-time position to fill working with an existing team of 3. Farm is located 10 minutes south of Cambridge milking 450 cows through a 44 aside with feed pad and mixing wagon. We require at least 2 years full time dairy farm experience. You would need to be confident in daily milkings, bringing in herds, shed hygiene and animal health. Pasture management and daily farm maintenance. Trifecta farming is a family-owned 650 cow dairy farming operation in the South Waikato. We run two cowsheds on one property with a support block (young stock/silage) attached.  We are looking for someone that can work/milk on your own with 285 Friesian cows through our 21aside Herringbone cowshed. You will be in charge of day to day running of the cowshed, including shed hygiene, animal health, effluent, feeding out, farm maintenance and helping on the support block when required. Need a great eye for animal health, able to pick cows for AI (3 weeks AI, 6weeks with bulls), great communication skills, great with time management, not afraid to ask for help, some pasture management would be great but not a must ask we can guide/ help. Need to be able to ride a 2-wheeler(DR200) and operate a tractor for effluent and feeding out.  Nz residents apply only. We are not visa accredited.

We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. Top 400 cows twice a day, the rest once a day morning only, everything once a day March to end of May. We have a system that allows for not getting cows in, they walk themselves to milking while the coffees being drunk. Calves are grazed off farm from January till they return in May the following year as in calf. All ground work is done in house so plenty of tractor work available. We are looking for a permanent staff member to jump aboard our team once our Scottsman's visa has run out in November.
