Working with our team of 4 we will be milking, setting breaks and monitoring residuals, helping with/managing mating, tractor driving, animal health and farm maintenance. We milk 750 cows through our highly automated 40 aside herringbone shed. Our farm is fully irrigated with Pivots, Fixed Grid and some K line. This position would suit someone who would like to progress to Sharemilking.

Milking 500 cross breed cows through a modern 44 Bail Rotary Shed, with Protrack Drafting and in-shed feed system, located 5 minutes from Eltham. You will be required to undertake general farm duties including milking, dairy hygiene, irrigation management, weed control, animal health and general maintenance. You must be honest, reliable and have excellent time management skills. The ability to work well by yourself and in a team environment is a must. Top 400 cows twice a day, the rest once a day morning only, everything once a day March to end of May. We have a system that allows for not getting cows in, they walk themselves to milking while the coffees being drunk. Calves are grazed off farm from January till they return in May the following year as in calf. All ground work is done in house so plenty of tractor work available. We are looking for a permanent staff member to jump aboard our team once our Scottsman's visa has run out in November. Preferably chasing a character that knows how to jump into battle when the busy time is on. Must have a can do attitude and be willing to get their hands dirty, be able to laugh and have a genuine interest in dairy farming. 3 bedroom house with log burner. Firewood available on farm.
