We are looking for Herd manager to assist with running our 630 cow farm in Culverden. You main duties will be milking, cleaning cowshed, fencing, feeding calves, weed control, riding motorbike. A brief mention of actual herd management duties, such as animal health, calving and mating or pasture management will be advantage. A relevant qualification at NZQCF Level 4 or higher, or an overseas equivalent, OR at least three years’ relevant dairy farming experience is compulsory. Our candidate must be physically fit as manual work and heavy lifting may be required and be ready to wake up at 4am and work after 5pm if circumstance requires (with regular breaks). You also need to be ready to work weekends and holidays as required per your roster. Accommodation on farm provided so you need to have your own reliable transport due to the remote location of workplace. Random drug testing may be required. Pay is accommodation included.
