My client offers an awesome opportunity 10kms from Otorohanga. It is a well-developed, flat to rolling fertile farm with 50 bale internal dairy, two homes and excellent infrastructure.
The farm is 160 ha effective and will carry around 440 cows. Previous production has averaged around 152,000 kg ms. The farm is run as a system 3 farm with spring calving. The farm has wearables and in shed feeding.
You’ll work with the farm owner to operate the farm in an efficient way that will aim to farm profitably and sustainably. The challenge in this job is running a fertile farm, optimising cow nutrition and production. The reward will be supportive farm owner, in an excellent location with good facilities.
The ideal candidates will be experienced, have proven modern pasture management skills and be a good communicator.
