We are seeking a Variable Order Share Milker for next Season.
Location: Okato, Taranaki.
Milking 310 cows, increasing to 380 cows over 3 years. Production is estimated to increase form 115,000kg/MS to 140,000kg/MS over 3yrs.
A recently upgraded 36 ASHB with ACR and an In-Shed feed system.
Dairy farm consists of 150Ha effective of rolling/flat contour.
A modern 4-bedroom house. School bus at the gate.
We're looking for an experienced Variable Order Share Milker to build on the farm's strong performance as the herd grows and production increases.
Costs: Labor, motorbikes, and Fuel.
Equipment Needed: Motorbikes, including a 4-wheeler; calf-rearing gear; and an optional tractor
About You
The ideal candidate will:
· Have good communication skills and be happy to work with the farm owners.
· Have strong pasture and feed management skills.
· Have excellent animal husbandry and animal welfare skills.
· Take pride in the farm and keep it well maintained.
· Ensure Health and Safety, the Environment, and Effluent regulations are adhered to.
· Keen to advance their farming career and achieve production goals.
· 3+ years as a Contract or Variable Order Share Milker.
