We are looking for an experienced and motivated Farm Manager to join our team in June 2027, with the potential for multiple positions within our farming operation.

We're looking for someone who is not only a capable dairy farmer but is also well organised, communicates effectively and takes genuine ownership of their farm's performance.

About the role

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of your allocated dairy farm, working alongside our Dairy Operations Manager and wider farming team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily farm operations, staff and workloads.

  • Pasture management, feed planning and herd performance.

  • Maintaining high standards of animal health, welfare and milk quality.

  • Planning and coordinating seasonal activities, including calving and mating.

  • Leading staff, setting expectations and maintaining a positive team environment.

  • Completing accurate farm records, reporting and compliance requirements.

  • Maintaining farm presentation, equipment and infrastructure.

  • Communicating proactively with senior management, identifying issues early and following through on agreed actions.

About you

We're particularly interested in applicants who demonstrate:

  • Proven dairy farming experience, ideally in a management role.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and the ability to keep management informed.

  • Confidence leading staff and managing daily farm operations.

  • Sound pasture management and animal husbandry knowledge.

  • Initiative, accountability and the ability to work independently.

  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to challenges.

  • Pride in maintaining a tidy, efficient and well-run farm.

An experienced Farm Manager would be ideal, although we would consider an exceptional 2IC who is ready to take the next step.

What we offer

  • A permanent position within an established family-owned farming business.

  • Competitive remuneration based on experience.

  • Farm accommodation where applicable.

  • Support from our Dairy Operations Manager and wider management team.

  • Established farming systems and opportunities for professional development.

  • A collaborative working environment with clear expectations and responsibilities.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates openly and understands that successful farm management involves good people management, planning and attention to detail as well as strong practical farming skills.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
