Mahoe Dairies are on the look out for a Herd Manager.
We require honest, reliable Herd Manager to join our team on our Family operated farms in Mossburn, Southland.
Previous dairy farming experience preferred. 2 years work experience or a level 4 qualification or above required. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Milking: Assists in efficient and hygienic milking routine.
- Animals: Assists in the safe handling of animals, reports any health and welfare issues as per farm policy.
- Feed: Controls weeds, Sets break fences and feeds out as directed.
- Environment: Assists with nutrient, effluent and water management as directed by farm policy.
- People: Works well with others, building a strong team culture.
- Machine, Vehicles and Technology, Safely uses and maintains vehicles on farm as directed by our on farm policy.
- Health, Safety and wellbeing: Involved in building a health, safety and wellbeing culture. Models farm health, safety and wellbeing policy.
Minimum hours of work are 30 hours per week. Pay rate is $30.00 - $35.00 per hour for Herd Managers.
