An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated Farm Manager to take the lead at Riverside Park, a progressive, well-resourced dairy farming operation located near Kurow in North Otago.

We are looking for a capable, hands-on manager with exceptional pasture management skills, strong leadership ability and a genuine drive to achieve excellent farm performance.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in their work and wants the autonomy to run a successful farming operation while working alongside supportive and engaged owners.
The successful applicant will take ownership of the day-to-day management of Riverside Park, making sound operational decisions, planning ahead and leading the team to achieve strong production, animal welfare and overall farm performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Pasture management: Demonstrating excellent pasture allocation, grazing management and pasture utilisation to maximise home-grown feed production and profitability.
Feed planning and budgeting: Developing and implementing accurate feed budgets, monitoring feed supply and demand, and making proactive decisions to maintain feed efficiency and animal performance.
Staff leadership: Leading, organising and developing staff, ensuring clear communication, accountability and a positive, productive working environment.
Irrigation management: Confidently managing pivot, fixed-grid and K-Line irrigation systems to optimise pasture growth and water efficiency.
Herd management: Maintaining high standards of animal health, reproduction, milk quality and welfare.
Technology and systems: Effectively utilising Halter and other farm management technologies to support informed decision-making and improve efficiency.
Farm operations: Ensuring machinery, infrastructure, health and safety, and general farm presentation are maintained to a high standard.
We are looking for a motivated, forward-thinking individual who:
Has proven experience as a Dairy Farm Manager or a senior 2IC ready to take the next step.
Has exceptional pasture management skills and a strong understanding of feed budgeting and seasonal feed planning.
Is proactive, highly organised and consistently plans ahead rather than reacting to challenges.
Can confidently lead a team, delegate responsibilities and hold staff accountable while maintaining a positive working environment.
Has excellent stockmanship, attention to detail and high standards of animal welfare.
Is confident using technology and farm management systems to monitor performance and make informed decisions.
Demonstrates initiative, sound judgement and the ability to make independent day-to-day decisions.
Takes genuine ownership of farm performance and is motivated to continually improve results.
Values open communication and enjoys working collaboratively with farm owners.
Above all, we are looking for someone who understands the importance of getting the fundamentals right and has the drive, pride and ability to run a high-performing dairy farm.
A progressive, well-established and well-resourced dairy farming operation.
A modern, fully automated 44-a-side herringbone dairy shed.
Halter technology across the herd.
Established pivot, fixed-grid and K-Line irrigation infrastructure.
A supportive and approachable ownership team that values initiative, communication and good decision-making.

The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to farm performance and business success.
Competitive remuneration reflecting experience, skills and ability.
Farm accommodation available, with details to be discussed.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and capable Farm Manager who enjoys taking responsibility, leading a team and achieving strong results.
