We are looking for an experienced, reliable and hardworking Herd Manager to join our fantastic team.
The successful applicant must have strong practical dairy farming knowledge, excellent stockmanship skills and the ability to manage daily farm operations efficiently while following company policies and health and safety procedures. Love for cows is a must. Please note WE are a free smoke environment.
Manage daily milking operations.
Identify sick cows early and recognise signs of illness.
Have practical knowledge of mastitis treatment, lame cow management and down-cow care.
Monitor herd health, mating, calving, body condition and reproductive performance.
Maintain accurate animal treatment records and follow veterinary advice and withholding periods.
Manage pasture covers, rotational grazing and feed allocation.
Feed silage and supplementary feed as required.
Mow paddocks, carry out general farm work.
Competently operate two-wheel motorbikes and tractors.
Maintain high standards of animal welfare, milk quality, hygiene and biosecurity.
Follow all farm policies, standard operating procedures and health and safety requirements.
Identify and report hazards, incidents and animal health concerns.
Work effectively with farm management and other team members to ensure the smooth running of the farm.
Start date: 19 December 2026.
No pets allowed at the accommodation.
