Located 20 minutes to Te Awamutu, our organic, system 2, 460 cow dairy unit milks through a 60 bale rotary with ACRs and Milk Hub. We are passionate about looking after our animals and providing a supportive work environment for our staff.
We are seeking a Herd Manager to join our team for a start in early 2026. Our ideal applicant will have an obvious passion for the industry and be keen to learn & progress in it, excellent animal health & husbandry (having a knowledge of organics would be an advantage) and all general on farm skills, including good tractor experience. Great communication & a 'can do' attitude are a must.
The remuneration package offered for the successful applicant will be $25-33/hr for a minimum 30 and maximum 58 hours per week. This is paid weekly.
The roster is 11 on / 3 off.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
Milking, Animal Health, Plant & Machinery Maintenance, Tractor Work, Irrigation/Effluent, Stock Work, Calf Rearing, Record Keeping, Farm Maintenance, Health & Safety.
Accommodation is shared.
Applicants must be living in New Zealand, have 3+years relevant farming experience or a tertiary qualification, a full drivers licence & own reliable transport, no dogs, at least 2 great recent references, & be drug free. Please apply online sending a current CV and referee details.
