We are seeking a experienced Herd Manager

APPLY ONLY IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 3 YEARS NEW ZEALAND FARMING EXPERIENCE INCLUDING DOING LAME COWS.
We are located at Morven,10 minutes from Waimate. The farm milks 1400 cows through a rotary shed, split calving spring 1000 cow and Autumn 400 cows. Farm have winter barns and cows stays barn at winter. we run a 6 on 3 off roster except August we running 6 on 1 off roster. We got relief milker and calf rearer.
We are looking for someone that is:
- Reliable and smart
- Strong observation skills
- Good communication skills
- Be a active member for the team.
The role will include making pasture management , management of the cowshed, managing the lame cows, Operating and Maintain machinery etc.
This position comes with a single man unit. NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILY
