We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated person to join our team on a well-run 650-cow dairy farm in the Manawatu.
We milk 650 calm Friesian-cross cows in a pasture-based system, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely enjoys working with cows.
This position could suit someone looking for a Milk for Rent, Farm Hand or Herd Manager role, depending on experience and what you are looking for.
The successful applicant will have:
A genuine passion for working with cows and good animal husbandry.
Good stock sense
High standards of cow care, cleanliness and hygiene.
An eye for detail and pride in doing a job properly.
A clean, tidy and organised approach to their work.
A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
Previous dairy experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider the right person based on attitude and experience.
