We are a high producing 700 cow farm set on 228Ha of stunning countryside just 20 mins drive to Invercargill. We consider ourselves to be good employers who offer a healthy work/life balance to our employees.
We work well as a team, we communicate and we get the job done. Our cows are in excellent health, and we intend to keep them that way, so you must possess strong animal husbandry skills, be able to work unsupervised, and you must have strong initiative, if you see something that needs doing, then do it, if you break something, tell someone, its simple really. We are more than happy to further train the right person, but you must be willing to learn and be serious about growing a career in the dairy industry. We do encourage AGITO training. Being able to drive a tractor will be an advantage. We milk our cows through a 54-bail rotary with ACR etc.
In return we offer a competitive salary of between $28 - $30 per hour and a minimum of 30 hours per week, as well as exceptional on farm accommodation.
