We have a Farm Assistant position becoming available due to our current employee of 3 seasons taking up a unique opportunity to work on a research farm. Start date is negotiable during October.
This is a simple, profitable farm system in a stunning location where cows, pasture, people & profit are our key focuses.
The farm is situated 12km from Fairlie in the Mackenzie District and was converted by ourselves 13 years ago. 600 x-bred Cows are milked through a 50 Bale modern rotary dairy with ACR's. Cups on in the morning is 5.30am. The farm is partly irrigated by pivot & partly dryland.
We are looking to employ someone with at least 1 season's experience who is wanting to further their learning in all aspects of farming & progress in the industry. The farm is running the Halter system giving staff the opportunity to experience high tech animal management.
We have a strictly drug free, smoke free environment. You will be working alongside 2 other staff plus hands on Farm owners.
