The farm is 230 ha, peak milking 900 cows through a brand new 60 bail rotary shed with automatic cup removers, pro track, and in-shed feeding. All cows are equipped with Tru-Test active ear tags. The farm is located in Mayfield and is fully irrigated with centre pivots and one roto-rainer.

Winnhill Ltd is owned by Reuben and Jaden Christian, who has contract milked Valetta Pastures since 2020 and began low-order sharemilking Larchwood Dairies in 2026. Valetta Pastures is a family owned 290ha dairy farm that peak milks 1100 cows located in Valetta, 25 minutes from Ashburton. Next door to Valetta Pastures is Larchwood Dairies which is a 230ha dairy farm that peak milks 900 cows.
On Valetta Pastures, our team consists of a farm manager, an assistant manager, herd manager, and two farm assistants, one fixed term employee from July to December and a calf rearer during calving.
On Larchwood Dairies, our team consists of a farm manager, an assistant manager, and two farm assistants, one fixed term employee from July to December and a calf rearer during calving. Reuben will be overseeing both farms but will mainly be on Larchwood Dairies.
The cows are wintered 2 km from the dairy farm on Valetta Pasture's cropping farm. This is also where the young stock are before joining the milking herd.
