A great opportunity for an experienced dairy farmer looking to take the next step in their career. We are seeking an experienced and motivated 2IC to join our progressive 550-cow dairy operation. This is a newly created position for someone who is confident in their abilities, enjoys responsibility and wants to be an important part of a modern farming business.

About you
We are looking for someone who already has a solid dairy farming experience and is ready to step into a 2IC position.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience in the New Zealand dairy industry
Strong tractor and machinery skills
Experience working with cows and managing animal health
Confidence working independently and as part of a team
Good communication and organisational skills
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
The ability to take initiative and responsibility
An interest in modern farming technology and improving farm performance
A willingness to learn and continue developing your skills
This Role is suited to an experienced farmer rather than someone new to the industry.
The role
Working alongside the farm manager, you will be involved in day-to-day running of the operation, including milking, animal health, feeding animals, pasture management, machinery work, maintenance and general farm duties.
You will also have the opportunity to take responsibility for key areas of the farm and step up into a leadership role when required.
