Job purpose
Support the smooth, safe and productive operation of a dairy farm through dependable animal care, milking routines, pasture management and general farm duties.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with milking, animal handling and daily herd care.
- Monitor animal health and report concerns promptly.
- Help with pasture management, feeding, fencing and farm maintenance.
- Operate and care for farm equipment safely, following established procedures.
- Maintain clean, organised and compliant work areas.
Skill requirements
- A practical, reliable approach and willingness to work outdoors in changing weather.
- Good observation skills and care when working with animals.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently and contribute to a team.
- Physical fitness for active farm work and confidence to undertake the role.
- Experience is preferred but not necessary.
