We are a family owned dairy farming business based in Waitakaruru, on the Hauraki Plains, milking 500 KiwiCross cows through a 40 bale rotary shed.
Our focus is on sustainable, efficient farming with high animal welfare standards. We run a level four feed system with use of a feed pad and an established supplementary feeding program, ensuring cows are well supported year round.
Over the past five seasons we have increased profitability while steadily upgrading our infrastructure, including an underpass, improved feed pad with flood wash, new maize bunkers and effluent compliance improvements.
We run a closed herd system, rearing all our own replacement stock and managing young stock on a nearby runoff until they join the milking herd.
As a hands on family business, we also carry out much of our own fencing, cropping and maintenance work, and we value a supportive, team oriented environment where staff are respected and encouraged to learn and grow.
