Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for a reliable and motivated assistant manager/2ic to join our team.
We are located 20 minutes inland of Kumara with a 242ha Dairy Farm, 50ha Run Off Block, and a 50ha Lease Block.
We are milking 500 cows through a 44ashb with in shed meal feeding on a grass base system.
Our role for our assistant manager will vary from:
*Milking cows and assisting with herd management
*Fencing and general farm maintenance
*Shifting the effluent spreader
*Tractor work
*Assisting in weighing and drenching young stock
*Assisting with lame cow
*Assisting with any treatments
*Assisting with drenching/vaccinating
*Being able to be responsible and in charge when sharemilker's are wanting time off
Our ideal candidate is:
*Reliable, honest, hardworking, and dependable
*Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
*A team player who takes pride in their work and can also work independently
We offer a beautiful two bedroom cottage with a fire on wet back.
The house is 11km off farm, we provide a work vehicle to travel to and from the farm.
No cats and outside dogs only.
