We’re looking for a reliable, experienced farm hand to join our team across two dairy farms on the Taieri Plains. This role is hands-on, varied, and suited to someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in keeping a farm running smoothly.
About the Role:
You’ll work across both of our Momona-based dairy farms, supporting daily operations and taking sole charge of key tasks. The role includes:
• Sole charge milking — confident, efficient milking with responsibility for shed setup, hygiene, and cow flow
• Feeding out — tractor work, feed management, and maintaining animal condition
• Break fencing — setting up and shifting breaks to support pasture utilisation
• Weed spraying — safe chemical handling and paddock maintenance
• General farm duties — machinery operation, stock work, shed cleaning, and seasonal tasks
What We’re Looking For:
• Minimum three years’ dairy farm experience
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for daily tasks
• Good stock sense and a proactive approach to farm maintenance
• Reliability, honesty, and a positive attitude
• Competence with tractors, machinery, and farm equipment
• Commitment to animal welfare and safe work practices
