🚜 Tractor and Truck Driver (Class 2–4 Licence) Location: Franklin, Auckland Pay: $25 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week Maximum 70 Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
A well-established horticultural grower based in Franklin is seeking a Tractor and Truck Driver with a valid Class 2–4 NZ Driver’s Licence to join our hardworking team. This is a full-time role involving both on-farm machinery operation and transportation tasks.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Operate tractors for cultivation, spraying, planting and harvesting tasks
- Drive trucks to transport produce, equipment and materials around the farm and to external locations
- Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
- Carry out pre-start checks and basic maintenance on vehicles and machinery
- Maintain accurate transport records and follow all safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with farm and transport teams to meet harvest schedules
- Operating horticultural machinery and equipment
- Maintaining and repairing horticultural machinery and equipment
- Loading and unloading horticultural produce and supplies
- Preparing land for agricultural and horticultural use
- Applying pesticides and fertilisers to crops
- Must hold a valid Class 2–4 NZ driver licence
- GPS Tractor driving experience would be ideal
- Strong understanding of on-road and off-road driving safety
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Physically fit and capable of manual tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player
Desirable but not essential:
- Forklift or WTR endorsement
- Basic mechanical knowledge
