Irthing Downs Ag, a bull beef, dairy support and contracting business 15 minutes north of Lumsden and 50 minutes south of Queenstown, is looking for a full-time Tractor Driver / Farm Hand to join our team.

The Business • 315 ha bull farm (500 service bulls); two heifer support blocks totalling 340 ha ; • 900 R1 heifers, 900 R2 heifers and 600 cows wintered • Contracting: re-grassing, cultivation, crop preparation and baleage for four dairy farms plus our own blocks • Range of John Deere and Case tractors and quality equipment; The Role • Cultivation and baleage over summer, in support of our dairy farms • Stock work on the bull and heifer blocks when tractor work is quiet • General farm support as needed |
The Ideal Candidate
• Some tractor experience preferred but not essential, training will be available
• Comfortable working with livestock, reliable, and works well in a small team
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and perform at a high level
